This combination acts as a slightly more casual summer outfit which suits both professional and social environments as well as proving functional in either warm or cooler temperatures.
Inspired by 50s summer style the main focus is the dark blue v-neck jumper, with a fitted cut it provides a light layer over the plain white shirt whilst keeping the figure trimmed and smart. The white collar gives crisp contrast against the blue and sharpens the whole attire. The light grey trousers keep the focus on the navy jumper whilst at the same time accentuating the dark tan boots. Finally, the outfit is accessorized with a dark brown belt and wayfarer glasses to add a vintage feel for summer.
The inspiration for this outfit came from an outfit worn by Don Draper in Mad Men with the aim of providing a classic look that can be functional in warm afternoons and cool evenings. Easily put together and comfortable to wear in the office it’s certainly worth investing in. For similar outfit inspiration we’d recommend you check out Bing Crosby or Frank Sinatra and their Summer ensembles.
