What A Gent’s Wearing: The Summer Shirt & Chinos

IMG_2959

This outfit has been put together following several requests about what men should wear with beige chinos? We’ve done several iterations of outfits that have included beige or pale coloured chinos and trousers, but this is definitely our go-to outfit that suits the majority of summer occasions.

The use of a pastel blue in the shirt immediately gives a light, summery feel to the overall ensemble, whilst the fine vertical pinstripe gives it a slightly dapper feel upon closer inspection. Combining this with some straight cut beige chinos compliments the vibrance of the pale blue and gives whilst providing clean definition between the torso and legs. Finally we finished the attire with a black belt and shoes to make it more appropriate for smarter occasions, however if you were to incorporate a light brown belt and pair of boat shoes it would give a more Mediterranean vibe to the outfit.

This is a classic summer look for any gentleman and one that draws inspiration from a variety of icons including Pierce Brosnan, David Gandy and Chuck Bass. Another simple and yet incredibly versatile piece that can be worn to the office, at a barbecue or on a night out in summer and will always look the part. It can easily be dressed up with the addition of a navy blazer or down with espadrilles and a tan belt.
