3 Menswear Fashion Events for AW14

Every year there are a variety of high-end seasonal fashion shows conducted around Central London with exclusive guest lists and premium pricing, although glamorous and stylish they are often beyond the reach of the everyday gent who may not have the money to buy himself a seat. As a result, we’ve put together 3 menswear fashion events going on around London that almost anyone can attend and won’t break the bank when you ask for a ticket. This season, if you want to get involved in the menswear scene then here are some of the best and most accessible events in London for gents to attend.

Drapers Independent Awards 2014 – Wednesday 17th September

Every year Drapers celebrate the most innovative and successful independent fashion retailers across the UK in the form of their Independents Awards. Organised by Drapers and hosted within The Brewery in Barbican, it is a great example of the industry celebrating both the bigger and smaller independent brands who strive to make the British Fashion industry a better place for consumers.

With  menswear award shortlists that include Barbour, Gant, Tommy Hilfiger and Fynch Hatton, as well as much smaller players like Louis Copeland, you’re bound to see some great fashion innovations on the night. You’re also likely to meet some of the minds behind the brands making it a perfect place to build industry relations.

For more innovation on single seats, half-table and full-table reservations contact Lucy Trevor on lucy.trevor@emap.com.

Best Of Britannia 2014 – Thursday 2nd – Saturday 4th October

Another event set up to celebrate Britain’s most stylish brands, not just in menswear but for homewear, gifts food, drink and lifestyle too. This is a pop-up department store with hundreds of exhibitors selling british-made goods to anyone attending, set in the heart of Clerkenwell. Exhibitors include Cheaney & Sons Shoes, Faulkner London, Lavenham, Boodles Gin and many more, so the variety of styles alone is worth the £8 ticket cost (in our opinion the gin sweetens the deal too.)

This is a 3-day event that is definitely not worth missing, you’ll find hidden gems and beautiful designs here that are so rarely showcased elsewhere so make sure to check it out. Tickets can be purchased online here.

Off The Rails London – Thursday 30th October – Sunday 2nd November

This is a firm favourite of ours and one we heartily recommend to any gentleman out there who is looking to see the very best of men’s style in one place. Set in Brick Lane, Off The Rails is a uniquely stylish shopping experience for men with a vast array of menswear and men’s lifestyle brands showing their ranges to consumers. Brands exhibiting at the event include: Oliver Sweeney, Finlay & Co, L’Estrange, J. Lindeberg and Kent & Curwen, to name but a few.

Tickets cost £10 a piece or £12 for two, which quite frankly is a bargain that few other events can match up to. It’s a gentleman’s fashion enthusiast’s dream come true and you’d be foolish not to check it out. Pick up your tickets here and we’ll see you on the day.

That covers 3 great fashion events that almost any gentleman can attend so go clear your diaries and check them out, we promise you won’t regret it.
