What A Gent’s Wearing: The Casual Chunky-Knitwear Look

IMG_3798

During the Autumn/Winter months, it’s important to have outfits that are simple, warm and comfortable but also stylish, that are versatile enough to be used in a variety of situations. We’ve continued this season’s themes of blue and masculine elegance with this outfit that focuses on chunky knitwear and colour schemes that compliment the use of navy.

The immediate contrast between the dark navy and plain white works well to create a classically elegant design that looks comfortable and casual at the same time. Light beige chinos nicely compliment the white and the blue and draw the eye upwards towards the chest and face, whilst the use of the roll-neck collar frames the torso and neck. Finally the dark tan belt helps separate the white from the beige, whilst the use of brown brogues adds a classic, dapper look to the piece that continues with the masculine, comfortable themes.

The main inspiration for this look comes from the casual attire worn by individuals like Daniel Craig and Chris Evans that is both masculine and elegant whilst looking simple and clean. It’s warm, comfortable and easy to put together whilst being appropriate for a drink with friends or a stroll around town. Definitely a must for any gentleman’s wardrobe.
