What A Gent’s Wearing: A Casual Look for Camden

IMG_1073

Normally my styles can be a tad formal and, especially at this time of year, this isn’t always the best policy. With London in the midst of its own heatwave and the humidity levels rising, I decided to go a bit more informal and put together a look that uses simple contrasts and French/Italian elements to create a light, summery ensemble that looks good in any sunbathed town or city.

I have two particular elements that I love in this look. Firstly, the navy grey tee is a subtle twist on the standard navy blue adding an almost “matte” character to the top. I don’t usually go for a crew neck but I was inspired by Chris Hemsworth who incorporated a similar style of t-shirt into a photo shoot. Secondly, the brown suede loafers, combined with the turn-up on the chinos, gives a classic Mediterranean feel to the outfit and makes it perfect for Summer strolls.
