The spring/summer months hail the beginning of wedding season and thus the opportunity to up your style game from every-day suit to a look that highlights the importance of the day, and encapsulates your personal style and character. Hardy Amies were kind enough to invite me to go in and style a new outfit which would work at any wedding. I achieved this by using classic themes with modern tailoring styles to create a sharp outfit any man can pull off.

Barber Therapist - 1

A few weeks back, I was invited by Drakes of London to go in for a haircut and to sample their services. Traditionally, I tend to review these places based on the decor, atmosphere, service and pricing as well as extras like staff friendliness and grooming ranges. However, during this appointment I had an experience that I had never come across before, one that forced me to reflect on my own achievements, insecurities and future plans. It wasn’t so much a haircut with a smile, as a haircut with a friend and it got me thinking about how often men can turn to barbers to vent their emotions and frustrations… View Post

Mexico 1

In late February my brothers, our respective partners and I all packed up and set off for Mexico on a 2 week adventure/holiday around the Yucatan Peninsula. After years of planning, saving and excitement we left Heathrow with snow falling and 6 degrees celsius to set off for the warmer climates of the Caribbean. Beardless Man - 1As anyone who has read my blog or follows me on social media has seen, I am always sporting a clean-shaven look. Now, it’s important to note that this is not strictly through choice, but also because I simply am unable to grow any reasonable amount of facial hair. For some context, I’m 27, I eat a healthy diet, maintain a regular exercise routine and sleep as well as keeping a keeping my skin clear and moisturised. Despite this, however, I can’t seem to grow any more than a little peach fuzz around my chin and upper lip. So what’s it like being in a society where beards are widely seen as a sign of style, strength and masculinity, yet you’re incapable of growing one. View Post

Bentley Momentum Intense - 1

In the past I’ve tried to avoid fragrances created by car companies as, from previous experience, I find they are an example of a company applying its strengths in one area (i.e. cars) and attempting to apply them to fragrance with limited success. However, when I received invitation and early press samples of Bentley Momentum Intense, the latest cologne from the car manufacturer’s fragrance division, I was undeniably curious. So after a rather cold and wet trip through Central London, I headed to The Shard for the launch event in the Shangri-La hotel to see if Bentley could buck the trend of car company fragrances.

Also, there’s an opportunity for you to win a bottle of this fragrance before it hits the stores by following me on Twitter and retweeting the pinned post for this article. Winner’s will be announced in 2 weeks time on Wednesday 22nd March on Twitter.
